This privacy policy describes how Dr. Wendi LeBrett (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information through wendilebrettmd.com (the “site”) and the emails we send from it. It doesn’t apply to patient medical records. The site is intended for people in the United States.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your state, first name, last name, and email address. When you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. Please don’t send health information by email.
We also collect some information automatically. When you join the waitlist, our email service provider records the date, your IP address and the approximate location it indicates, and whether you confirm your email address. It also records whether you open our emails and which links you click. When you visit the site, our service providers receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use a web analytics service that doesn’t use cookies to measure traffic and site performance.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Run the waitlist, including confirming your email address, sending you information about the practice, and inviting you to enroll.
- Plan which states the practice serves.
- Set up your patient record if you become a patient.
- Respond to your messages.
- Operate, secure, and maintain the site.
- Comply with the law.
How we disclose information
We use service providers to host the site, deliver its images, run the waitlist and send its emails, measure site traffic, and host our email. They process personal information on our behalf and may do so outside your state or outside the United States.
We may disclose personal information if required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others. If Dr. LeBrett forms a practice entity, or in a merger, sale, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of it.
We don’t sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to train large language models.
Cookies and tracking
The site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may set a cookie needed for security. We don’t allow third parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across websites through the site. Because we don’t track visitors across websites, the site doesn’t respond to Do Not Track signals.
Retention
We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires a longer period. Unsubscribing stops our emails but doesn’t delete your information. To request deletion, contact us.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any of them.
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us at hello@wendilebrettmd.com. We may ask for information to verify your request. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.
Residents of Washington and Nevada have additional rights, described in our consumer health data privacy policy.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The site is intended for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Other websites
The site links to other websites, which have their own privacy practices. This policy doesn’t apply to them.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll post the updated version here and change the effective date.
